• Domain checking: In logarithmic equations, always verify that your solutions make all arguments positive. This is a common source of lost marks. If a solution is invalid, discard it
• Exponential equations: Try to express both sides with the same base first. If not possible, take logarithms of both sides. When taking logs, use base 10 or natural log consistently
