About O/L Mathematics: O/L Mathematics covers number systems, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics across Grade 10 and 11.
Every time you see "20% off" on a shirt in a Pettah shop, a bank offer "8% interest per annum", or a bill that adds "15% VAT", you are looking at percentages. They are the language money speaks. A percentage lets you compare a mark out of 80 with a mark out of 120 on the same scale, work out whether a discount is really a bargain, and check that a shopkeeper has added the tax correctly. Master this one lesson and you gain a life skill you will use every single week — not just in your O/L paper.
