Must know

• Read the question carefully: Identify whether the solid is a prism, pyramid, cone, cylinder, sphere, or a combination. Look for keywords like "right circular cone," "hemisphere," "cuboid," etc
• Draw a diagram if one is not given: Sketch the solid and label all given dimensions. This helps visualize which formula to use and where to apply the Pythagorean theorem
• List the given values and what is required: Write down r = ?, h = ?, etc. This prevents missing information
• For composite solids, break them down: Mentally separate the solid into basic shapes. Calculate each volume separately and then combine. Write intermediate answers clearly
